No. 52

You know what I love about the t-shirt/denim combo? You can't go wrong with it. I'm sure we all know of its "effortlessness" and "ease," but I love its versatility--in that there are so many different ways in which to style the combination. Classic slim-fit T with dark skinnies: great. Oversized T with frayed denim culottes? Even better, in my opinion.

I'm a denim girl. I may even be a denim collector. I'm an avid shopper, but at the top of my list of items I cannot resist grabbing up is reworked denim: frayed, cropped, wide-leg, overall, you name it, I'm there. In fact, I'm currently without a good pair of skinny medium- and dark-blue jeans, which is, perhaps, an oversight, but if there's a season to experiment with the many different silhouettes of denim out there, it would be right in the thick of summer. It's so refreshing, I think, to revamp the t-shirt/denim look with pieces that step outside of the classic box, but still totally fit the label. This is the fun part of dressing: redefining.
