Perhaps it's bad habit, but I am frequently making new additions to my wardrobe ("This striped tee is completely different from all my other ones, I have to have it!"). Especially in this current sale season, I just can't help myself. Aside from all the new, however, there are still some pieces that stay and have stayed with me a long time.

I can't even remember when I got these Adidas sandals, but I do know they have been to many a basketball game with me, tossed on over my socks. They could very well have been with me since Grade 8--I do remember that they were purchased in a mall in the States. Since then, they're still in great shape, and a (very) fitting member of my mostly black-and-white wardrobe. Looking back now, I was wearing these way before I grew into the whole sporty chic, athleisure look. That is to say, these shoes have racked up a whole lot of sentimental value over the many years I've had them, and they're still continuing to serve me well, both for the after of a game/gym session, and now my personal style. It's incredibly simple, how something can become so timeless for yourself.
